The wedding

Häät tuli ja meni. Oli hauska olla taas pitkästä aikaa brittiläisissä häissä, vaikka enemmän tai vähemmän samalla kaavalla nämä menivät kuin suomalaisetkin, mutta silti!

The wedding came and went. It was really fun to be at a British wedding (although they go more or less the same way as the Finnish weddings do) but still!

Tarvittiin pientä suostuttelua sisarelta alttarille menemiseksi.
There was a need for a little pep talk when walking down the aisle.

Kävi mieletön tuuri sään kanssa. Koko päivälle oli luvattu sadetta, mutta yhtäkään pisaraa ei häiden aikana tullut ja aurinkokin oli suurimman osa ajasta esillä.

We had really good luck with the weather. The forecast promised rain for the whole day but not a drop came down during the wedding. Even the sun was out most of the time.

Päivä meni ainakin näin vieraan silmin hyvin. Hääpari oli onnellinen ja yhtä hymyä ja vieraat hyvän tuulisia.

The whole day went really well at least through the eyes of a guest. The bride and groom were happy and all smiles and the guests’ had their spirits up.

Tai ainakin suurin osa oli hyvällä mielellä…

Or at least most of the guests had their spirits up…

Ja iltaan mahtui tietenkin paljon nostalgista musiikkia sekä saippuakuplia.

And of course the evening was full of nostalgic music and bubbles.

Nyt tällainen kirjoitus. Kuvia on aika paljon, mutta kyllä muutamassa tapauksessa kuva kertoo enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa!
